Pursue

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 25, 2026

This policy explains what information Pursue Studio collects, why we process it, where it is stored, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. It describes how the service works today.

1. Information you provide

  • Account details: your email address, password (stored by our authentication provider in hashed form, never visible to us), and the display name you enter at sign-up.
  • Onboarding choices: such as whether you use Pursue Studio in Meeting or Student mode.
  • Recordings and uploads: audio you record in the browser and audio or video files you upload.
  • Session details: titles, session types, and the Projects you create and assign sessions to.
  • Questions you ask: text you type into Ask Pursue, which is sent for processing to generate an answer.
  • Dates and times you add when using Add to Calendar. These are used in your browser to build the calendar event; Pursue Studio does not connect to or read your calendar.

2. Sign in with Google

If you choose Continue with Google, Google shares basic profile information with Pursue Studio: your name, email address, and profile identifier (and profile picture where Google provides it). We use this only to create and sign in to your Pursue Studio account and to show your name in the app. It is stored with your account by our authentication provider.

Pursue Studio does not request access to your Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google data, and does not share your Google profile information with anyone except the service providers listed below that are needed to run your account.

3. Content Pursue Studio generates

From your recording, Pursue Studio creates a transcript and AI-generated outputs: summaries, key points, decisions, action items, suggestions, study material, answers to your questions, narrated video recap scripts, and recap narration audio. For some topics, recaps also show existing public images of subjects mentioned in the recording, found in the Wikimedia Commons library (these images are not AI-generated). These are stored with your session so you can return to them.

4. Technical information

  • Browser storage: Pursue Studio uses your browser's local storage only for your sign-in session, your preferred recap presenter, and cached AI suggestions for the built-in sample sessions. These are not advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Service logs: our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically process technical data such as IP address, browser type, request times, and error information to deliver and secure the service.

Pursue Studio does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

5. Why we process information

  • To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
  • To transcribe your recordings and generate the briefs, recaps, and answers you request.
  • To store your sessions and Projects so you can access them later.
  • To send account emails such as verification and password reset messages.
  • To keep the service working, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

6. Where your information is stored

Your account, sessions, transcripts, AI outputs, and Projects are stored in a managed cloud database. Recordings, recap narration audio, and recap images are stored in a private storage area. Access rules restrict every session, project, profile, and stored file to the account that owns it. Media is delivered to your browser through short-lived signed links.

Public share links. If you choose to create a share link for a session, anyone who has that link can view the session title, its duration, and its visual recap without signing in. The transcript, the original recording or uploaded audio, and your action items are not included in a shared page and remain private to your account. You can revoke a share link at any time, and deleting the session removes the link.

7. Service providers

We use the following providers to run Pursue Studio. They process information on our behalf to provide the service:

  • Lovable (Lovable Cloud): hosting, authentication, database, file storage, and account emails. Lovable Cloud is built on Supabase infrastructure.
  • Lovable AI Gateway and the AI model providers it routes to (currently OpenAI models): your audio is sent for transcription; transcripts and your questions are sent to generate briefs, recaps, suggestions, and answers; and recap scripts are sent to generate narration audio.
  • Wikimedia Commons: short search terms naming subjects or entities mentioned in a session (for example a place, product, or organisation) may be sent to Wikimedia Commons to find existing public images for recaps. No audio, transcript, or account information is sent.
  • Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

How long AI providers retain request data, and whether it may be used to improve their models, is governed by those providers' own terms and settings. We do not make separate guarantees about their practices.

8. When information may be disclosed

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers described above, when you ask us to, when required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the service, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the service, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

9. Retention

We keep your account and sessions until you delete them or delete your account. Pursue Studio does not currently delete sessions automatically after a set period. Service providers may keep backups and logs for a limited period under their own retention practices.

10. Deleting your information

  • Sessions: open a session, choose the options menu, and select Delete session. This deletes the session's recording, transcript, AI outputs, share links, recap images, and recap narration audio from Pursue Studio. Narration audio that is identical to audio still used by another of your sessions is kept for that session.
  • Recap narration audio is cached per account so identical narration can be reused across your sessions; all of it is removed when you delete your account.
  • Projects: can be deleted from the Projects page. Deleting a Project does not delete its sessions.
  • Account: select Delete account in the app sidebar and confirm. This permanently deletes your account and profile, sessions, recordings and uploads, transcripts, AI outputs, recap images, cached narration audio, and Projects from Pursue Studio, then signs you out. Copies may remain for a limited time in our service providers' backups and logs under their own retention practices.

11. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), owner-only database and storage access rules, private file storage with short-lived links, and keep AI and service credentials on the server. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. You can view and delete your sessions in the app; for other requests, contact us at support@pursuestudio.com.

13. Children

Pursue Studio is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

If Pursue Studio learns that it has collected personal information from a child below the applicable minimum age, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information. A parent or guardian may contact us at support@pursuestudio.com to request the deletion of a child's personal information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Pursue Studio changes. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email.
