Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Pursue Studio, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Pursue Studio.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and able to form a binding agreement. If you are under 18 or the age of majority where you live, you may use Pursue Studio only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your password secure, and all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Permitted use

You may use Pursue Studio to record, upload, and understand conversations, meetings, lectures, and similar content for lawful personal, educational, or business purposes.

4. Prohibited use

• Recording or uploading content without the rights, permissions, or consents required by law.
• Uploading unlawful, infringing, harassing, or harmful content.
• Attempting to access other users' accounts or data, or to bypass security or usage limits.
• Disrupting, overloading, reverse engineering, or scraping the service.
• Using Pursue Studio to generate content that violates others' rights.

5. Recording and upload consent

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions to record or upload content, including any consent required from participants under the laws that apply to you. Recording laws differ by location. Pursue Studio does not determine whether a recording is lawful in your jurisdiction.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the recordings, files, and text you provide, and of the outputs generated from them, to the extent permitted by law. You grant Pursue Studio a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, copy, transmit, and process your content, including sending it to our service providers, only as needed to provide, secure, and maintain the service for you. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies kept temporarily in backups or as required by law.

7. AI-generated output

Transcripts, summaries, action items, deadlines, suggestions, answers, recaps, narration, and diagrams are generated automatically and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misattributed. Recaps may also include reference imagery retrieved from existing public image libraries rather than generated by AI. These outputs are not professional, legal, medical, financial, or academic advice. Review important outputs against the original recording before relying on them, especially dates, decisions, figures, and commitments.

8. Intellectual property

Pursue Studio, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks or software beyond using the service as permitted.

9. Copyright and DMCA

You may not upload, record, or share content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. We may remove or disable access to content we believe is infringing, and we will suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe.

Copyright notices. If you believe content on Pursue Studio infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@pursuestudio.com that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed; (3) identification of the infringing material, such as the share link, with enough detail for us to locate it; (4) your name, address, telephone number, and email address; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Counter-notices. If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to support@pursuestudio.com that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal; (3) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and (4) your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Pursue Studio may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days unless the complaining party tells us it has filed a court action.

Knowingly false notices or counter-notices may make you liable for damages.

10. Third-party services

Pursue Studio relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, storage, and AI processing, and offers optional sign-in with Google and calendar export functionality. Pursue Studio does not read or connect to your calendars. Your use of those third-party services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep Pursue Studio available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

12. Paid features

Pursue Studio is currently offered without charge. If we introduce paid plans, the pricing, billing, and any refund terms will be presented to you before you purchase, and you will not be charged without agreeing to them.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Pursue Studio at any time and may delete your account at any time as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Pursue Studio is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Pursue Studio. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pursue Studio, its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising out of or related to your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of applicable law, content you upload or record, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

This does not require you to indemnify Pursue Studio for liability caused by our own unlawful conduct where such a limitation is prohibited by law.

16. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights or protections you may have under the laws of your state, province, country, or place of residence.

Any dispute relating to Pursue Studio or these Terms may be brought before a court or other competent authority with jurisdiction under applicable law.

Before starting formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@pursuestudio.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

18. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented to you for specific features or services, form the entire agreement between you and Pursue Studio regarding your use of the service and replace any prior agreements or understandings relating to the same subject matter.

19. Survival

Any provisions that by their nature should continue after your account is closed or these Terms end will survive, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, disputes, and enforcement.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use Pursue Studio after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
